Questions?

Please feel free to call or email if you have any additional questions

Can You Really Drink Out of it?
Yes, your vessel is coated with an Epoxy Resin lining: inside and out. This Resin is FDA approved safe for food usage and continual immersion. The lining encapsulates your cup and is completely resistant to ANYTHING that you can survive drinking.. Hot and Cold ...makes no difference.

Can I put it in the dishwasher? Can I put my cup in the microwave?
You certainly could, but I will NOT warranty it any longer... and believe me, I WILL know if you did it! As I've said, your vessel is completely sealed, but I think it's going over the top a bit with a fine wooden drinking vessel, don't you? You probably spent at least $60 on it... treat it well. Wash it by hand.
The microwave oven will actually burn wood if allowed to.
(watch for my new video . . .What Not To Do To A Cup. . .coming soon!)
ABSOLUTELY NEVER PUT YOUR CUP IN A DISHWASHER OR MICROWAVE OVEN. See above "How do I take Care of my cup?"

Can I put my cup in the freezer?
You certainly could, but it won't freeze... it's a piece of wood, you know? You would have better success keeping your ale from foaming by swishing a little ice-water around in your cup just before pouring. Feel free to put it in the freezer, though.

My cup has sprung a leak! What should I do? I didn't put it in a machine, or microwave... I didn't drop it....
Not to worry, as stated in your care instruction, "some woods like being cups, some don't". Although the wood has most likely moved and a breach in the Resin lining has occurred, I can almost always repair your vessel. The wood is simply settling into its new "cupness".
This service is covered by my Lifetime Warranty. Simply send your piece back to me with an explanation of the problem and I'll repair it. It can take approximately 2-4 weeks to return your vessel depending on the time of year I receive it. You're welcome to call or email before you send your vessel if in doubt.

The inside of my cup feels bumpy and I can see that the finish isn't smooth in some places. Should I get it re-finished?

It's perfectly normal to see and feel imperfections in the finish inside of your cup. I do my very best when applying the Epoxy Resin, but very, very rarely is it perfect. These lumps and bumps will NOT affect the functionality of your cup and do not require fixing.

My cup is rough and the finish us dull, can I get it refinished?

Yes, I'm always happy to do a re-finish on your cup, but this is NOT covered by my  warranty. I only guarantee against leaking. If you'd like to have your cup re-finished, simply return it with $20.00 to Goodly Woods, 2340 Hwy 180 E. #108, Silver City, NM 88061

How do I take care of my cup?
Your vessel is completely sealed and requires no special care. Wash it by hand with soap and warm water. Don't use the rough side of a sponge or you  may dull the finish.
ABSOLUTELY NEVER PUT YOUR CUP IN A DISHWASHER OR MICROWAVE OVEN! This is NOT covered by my warrantee.
Both machines may drastically reduce the lifespan of your vessel.
